Establishment Of DIET

The District Institute of Education and Training - Surat is handled by GCERT Gandhinagar. Before Independence it was lively working as sohrabaji school for education activities in the donated building by Sorabaji Dada, a great educationalist. later on from 6/2/1939 it was developed as Sohrabaji J.J Training college, later on in year 1991 this institution is upgraded and developed as District Institute of Education and Training,for qualitative education programme at primary level. 

*  Now DIET is totally shifted to new location at Bhestan - Surat in  March-2012.

* New Hostel Building of DIET-Surat is inaugurated on 5th December 2015

Building Details

  The DIET -Surat have  10 acres (40730 Square Meter) of land. A full facilitated 21 rooms are there in the building. There is a very green campus and wide playground.

Infrastructure

    DIET deals with quality improvement in primary Education & so that necessary all Infrastructure is available in DIET. The details of Infrastructure is given below.
